Plumford decide that they must help Mowgli learn the ways of man again. Boone and his men place Mowgli in prison. Kitty recognizes Mowgli when she sees he is wearing the bracelet she gave him when they were children. Mowgli enters the Man Village in search of Kitty. Kitty is in a relationship with William Boone, a loyal yet arrogant soldier. She again encounters Mowgli, but they do not recognize one another. Kitty and her father have returned to India. Kaa engages Mowgli in a fierce duel, but Mowgli eventually defeats Kaa, and is given back the bracelet afterwards. In the City, King Louie refuses to give the bracelet back, and he summons his pet and guardian, Kaa, an enormous and deadly python. Years later, Mowgli finds Monkey City whilst chasing a small monkey who has stolen the bracelet belonging to Kitty. The boy develops a strong bond with the animals. Mowgli also befriends Baloo the bear cub. The next day, Bagheera the panther finds Mowgli and his wolf cub - he brings them to the wolf pack who adopt them. Mowgli and his pet wolf cub are lost in the confusion - Mowgli is now assumed to be dead. Later that night, Shere Khan attacks the camp, killing Nathoo and two of Brydon's men. The group soon learn that Shere Khan, the mighty tiger, is on the move, because he knows some of Brydon's men have broken the jungle law by killing several animals for fun, to which Shere Khan opposes. Kitty gives Mowgli a bracelet which once belonged to her mother. Mowgli and Kitty are extremely close friends and often give signs of a young romance. Among them is Colonel Geoffrey Brydon, his five year old daughter Katherine "Kitty" Brydon and Dr.

Nathoo is guiding a group of soldiers in the jungle. Like those animals he hunted, his scream is a dying one.Mowgli is the five year old son of Nathoo, an Indian tour guide. He dies knowing he's gone from hunter to hunted. Boone is treated to Kaa's own "trophy room", a collection of skeletons from previous treasure hunters, their dying screams but ghosts. This scene is extra disturbing when you realize it's a callback to the trophy room scene.Boone himself starts screaming, only for Kaa to attack and kill him.

As we see each skull we hear the dying screams of each man. Boone falls into the water and, weighed down by all the gold he's collected, sees all the skulls of various men that Kaa has killed over the years. Then suddenly Kaa appears, alive and well and hungry. After Mowgli and Kitty run off, all of the monkeys, including King Louie, go dead quiet (the solemn look on King Louie's face is enough to make the audience go, "Uh oh."). Boone's death, however, may go down as one of the most disturbing in Disney film history. Yet another falls prey to a boobytrap that buries him alive in sand. Another falls off a cliff onto jagged rocks. Unlike Mowgli, they don't know what to avoid in the jungle.

The second half of the film plays almost like a horror movie as the villains are picked off one by one.Tabaqui's unstable grimace when he tries to kill Mowgli is just demonic!.Sure, he survives, but seeing such a cute, lovable and defenseless character in pain and possibly dying is enough to give any child nightmares.
